LSI offers Pilot and Production scale freezedryers in seemingly unlimited configurations, to meet the widest range of applications and your most demanding needs.We balance the cost savings of the chamber style between cylindrical and square with the floor space requirements to provide the best fit solution. All systems include a radiant heat plate above the top shelf for uniform drying on all shelves. For pharmaceutical/biotech applications, all internal surfaces are constructed of 316L stainless steel and offer a polish of 20 Ra or better.

For the fastest drying rates either an internal condenser or an external condenser with the optimum sized vapor port is supplied. Depending on the application, either a coil or plate style condenser is used. Hot water, hot gas or steam defrosts the Fluid filled hollow shelves with a serpentine fluid path provide the most uniform shelf temperature possible and results in consistent and repeatable drying. All units come with product trays, either a removable bottom or bulk. For processing vials, hydraulic stoppering is provided for maximum stoppering power.

Refrigeration System

High reliability two- stage or screw compressors are use to cool the shelves and the condenser. Our decades of refrigeration experience have resulted in a design that has more than enough capacity to handle your demanding drying runs.


Vacuum System

Corrosion resistant vacuum pumps are standard on all systems. Pumps are sized for pull down time to 100 mT is less than 20 minutes, with an ultimate vacuum of less than 10 mT. Oil-free pumps are also available.

The Quanta Series comes complete with full PC/PLC controls. Our easy to use system provides automatic freeze-drying, defrost, system and leak rate testing. An interactive maintenance screen simplifies component servicing. Data is stored and is easily printed either numerically or graphically. The soft-ware is perfect for the production environment while being sophisticated enough for formulation develop-ment. 21CFRPartll compliance offered as an option.
